Knit and crochet projects by Jyoti

Hey all!

I have been knitting and crocheting for about a decade, though there are many yarn projects I simply have not dared to cast on.  One goal of mine was to be able to knit a pair of socks.  Knitting a pair of socks has been a feat I was not ready to try up until most recently, due to the fear of smaller needles and the heel.

So, the other week I attended a class on how to knit a pair of socks at once.  It was at Shall We Knit in New Hamburg, and my mom encouraged me to go with her.  It was like twisting my rubber arm. :)

I braved our Canadian January morning and learned how to knit two socks on a pair of cabled needles.  Sitting in a small room with a group of other avid knitters, I shared in the glory that is socks.

Since then, I have knit two socks.  I used two different sock yarns so that I could keep track of which sock was which on the needles.  Plus, after I finish the second set I'll have two pairs of socks!  Now I'll just need to restock my sock yarn stash.

Happy Knitting!
